I had no idea when taking this photograph that I would be reflected right on to the glass cover. Too funny. Please look beyond the bright red flowered retro print cotton shirt to relish the beauty and purpose of this photo – a neighborhood library!! How cool is this? Everyone in the neighborhood is invited to share books they no longer want to keep and borrow others. The variety of choices is amazing – with something wonderful to consider for all, including picture and audio books. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a neighborhood library like this before. What a great idea!! What a great way to keep reading and sharing! Read on!
I was born and raised in Fredericksburg, VA and enjoy visiting there whenver possible researching two works of fiction set there my hometown. Where’s your favorite place to visit?

July 2, 2021I love little free libraries – I think they’re a wonderful idea. The organization behind them, https://littlefreelibrary.org/ is working on an app so people can find the nearest ones, which is brilliant. I’ve seen them all over, and enjoy looking at the titles inside, to see what people in that neighborhood like to read. I even found on a country footpath in New Hampshire – miles from anywhere!
